About the Artist

Lauren Jackson is a fine artist based in Virginia. Her inspiration is rooted in her experiences exploring nature with her husband, four children, two dogs and cat. Lauren’s works include collections of landscapes, seascapes, animals, and historical and biblical figures. Her work is described as soulful and moody...high contrast with a deep sense of nocturne, tonalist, classical style. Lauren primarily works with a combination of acrylic and earth pigments distilled from the land and water. Lauren integrates soil, clay, sand, rain and sea water onto raw edge canvas, creating art with nature.

Lauren studied at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, in Lancaster Pennsylvania and has spent over two decades making her passion a career in art and as a musician. As a singer song writer, Lauren enjoys pairing her music as a soundtrack to her art process.
